Foreign Trade Training Center (FTTC) About the Center The Foreign Trade Training Center (FTTC) is a specialized training institution affiliated with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade. The Center was established in 2001 by the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade, in cooperation with the Japanese Government, represented by: Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) FTTC delivers specialized training programs in export development, foreign trade, and entrepreneurship, aiming to upgrade exporters’ skills, enhance their professional knowledge, and strengthen their competitiveness through a comprehensive portfolio of integrated training courses. The Center seeks to promote and disseminate export culture, contributing to the creation of a new generation of export specialists, exporters, and entrepreneurs capable of responding effectively to the evolving challenges of global trade. Vision To become a center of excellence in export development, foreign trade, and entrepreneurship by preparing a generation of professionals capable of accessing international markets, expanding their businesses, enhancing competitiveness, and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals. Mission FTTC is committed to delivering high-quality training programs and services in the fields of foreign trade development and entrepreneurship, with the objective of enhancing the capabilities of Egyptian exporters and strengthening their competitiveness. This is achieved through a set of integrated training programs that employ modern training methodologies and best practices. Strategic Objectives The Center’s strategic plan is guided by a set of objectives that reflect its vision and long-term aspirations over the next five years. These objectives are aligned with the strategy of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to develop Egyptian exports through training, qualification, and capacity building. First: Enhancing the Educational Effectiveness of the Center in Line with the Ministry’s Strategy Achieve leadership among training institutions in qualifying trainees both cognitively and skill-wise in export and foreign trade, in accordance with the latest training and capacity-building methodologies. Deliver training programs aimed at creating a new generation of competitive and qualified exporters, aligned with the Center’s vision and the Ministry’s export development strategy. Establish a comprehensive system for managing the implementation of training programs in accordance with recognized quality standards. Measure training impact and ensure the effective application of quality standards in training outcomes. Integrate e-learning tools and digital training methodologies. Develop programs and mechanisms to provide effective post-training support services. Second: Establishing Strategic Partnerships and International Cooperation Conclude cooperation agreements with selected international specialized centers and institutes to deliver joint training programs. Collaborate with international institutions to obtain international accreditation for the Center’s training programs. Third: Enhancing the Institutional Capacity of the Center in Accordance with Quality Standards Continuously develop the competencies and skills of the Center’s staff to improve overall performance and operational efficiency. Adopt effective governance, monitoring, and internal audit systems to ensure institutional excellence. Fourth: Promoting Community Engagement and Supporting Sustainable Development Goals Expand the Center’s role in serving society by delivering training programs that empower youth and women, support the inclusion of persons with disabilities, promote entrepreneurship culture, and enhance the contribution of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to the growth of Egyptian exports.
