Foreign Trade

Overview

Within the framework of improving the efficiency of the foreign trade system in line with global economic changes and Egypt's Vision 2030, and in accordance with Egypt's relevant international obligations, the Central Administration for Foreign Trade proposes and formulates laws and executive decisions regulating import and export operations to ensure their compliance with specifications, standards, and technical requirements for product quality. It also follows up on the implementation of trade policy tools and continuously develops them to meet the needs of the local market and Egyptian industry, ensure the stability of supply chains for basic food commodities, and reduce customs release time, aiming to ease burdens on exports and imports. It also participates in decisions to reduce unnecessary imports, favor local products, and encourage emerging national industries to produce import substitutes.
